This Valentine's day share with your beloved in something that will go down in ages till death do you part. Young lovers and couples already joined at the hip alike are welcome to join the Jefferson Church to free individual wedding ceremonies. If you're looking to re-spark that old glow individual renewal of vows will be preformed as well. Come together this Valentine's day to become more than just a couple and remind each other what the 14th of February really means.
Mardi Gras River Parade & Festival

FREE to the Public. A procession of decorated river barges will transform the San Antonio River Walk into a floating Bourbon Street. Krewes of costumed revelers & live entertainment will celebrate Mardi Gras San Antonio Style! Enjoy live music on Arneson Stage from 11am to 7pm, and a festival of food, arts & crafts, activities and more at La Villita. Parade will take place 3pm-5pm. Come by La Villita between 11am and 7pm and enjoy authentic Cajun favorites like gumbo and jambalaya, as well as traditional festival favorites like funnel cakes! Pick up a unique keepsake from our arts and crafts vendors, and take in some great live entertainment on the Arneson Stage.
St. Valentine's Day Massacre

Stop the Violence, End the Silence!

In loving memory of Kristine Meza a group of her dearest loved ones has formed The Kristine Meza foundation to help other women in domestic violence situations and to spread knowledge of such abuse. The "Stop the Violence, End the Silence!" will be their first annual 5k run/walk and everyone is invited to this event. KMF plans to distribute the funds gained as scholarships to two recipients at the Alamo Community Colleges as well as to donate a portion to the Battered Women's Shelter.

Purim Pet Parade

The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) will host their 4th annual Purim Pet Parade in cooperation with the Barshop Jewish Community Center (JCC). This family-friendly event will feature games and face-painting for the children, a pet talent contest, microchip booth and pet parade as well as exhibits and demonstrations for the entire family. Children and pets are encouraged to wear costumes for prizes. Pets are $10; people are free. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Animal Defense League.
